The Management of the School of Undergraduate Studies, Adamawa State College of Education, Hong, wishes to inform all students and the College community that the commencement date for the First Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 academic session has been rescheduled.
Reason for the Adjustment
This decision was taken after careful consideration of the upcoming 2026 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), in which a substantial number of our students are participating. The one-week shift is designed to avoid clashes between the College’s internal examinations and the national JAMB examinations, thereby allowing affected students adequate time to prepare for and sit for their external exams without undue pressure or divided attention.
Revised Examination Schedule
Please take note of the updated dates:
- Original Commencement Date: Monday, 20th April, 2026
- New Commencement Date: Monday, 27th April, 2026
The duration and structure of the examination period remain unchanged. However, minor adjustments may have been made to the sequence of some papers to accommodate the new start date.
Instructions to Students
All students are advised to take note of the following:
- Revise Your Study Timetable: Make good use of the additional one-week period to intensify your preparation for the upcoming examinations.
- Check Updated Timetables: Regularly monitor departmental notice boards and official College communication channels for the revised examination timetable, as the order of some papers may have been affected.
- JAMB Candidates: Students sitting for the JAMB UTME are strongly encouraged to give full attention to their external examinations first, while remaining committed to their College examinations which will commence immediately after.
Ensuring Academic Equity and Success
This adjustment reflects the Management’s commitment to creating a supportive and equitable academic environment that takes into consideration the dual demands placed on our students. It is our sincere hope that this extension will enable every student to perform to the best of their ability in both their internal and external examinations.
The College Management wishes all students outstanding success in their JAMB UTME as well as in the forthcoming First Semester Examinations.
Please be properly guided accordingly.
