The Management of the Federal University of Lafia, through the School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS), is pleased to announce the sale of application forms for the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Programme for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The IJMB programme is a prestigious, intensive 12-month advanced-level course carefully designed to prepare candidates for the IJMB National Examination. Successful completion provides a credible and direct pathway into 200 Level in various degree programmes at FULafia and other reputable Nigerian universities.
I. PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
- Duration: Twelve (12) Months – One Academic Session
- Objective: Thorough preparation for the IJMB examination, leading to Direct Entry admission into 200 Level
- Application Fee: ₦15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) only
II. ELIGIBILITY & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Candidates seeking admission into the FULafia IJMB Programme must meet the following minimum requirements:
- O’Level Results: A minimum of five (5) credits in relevant subjects, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalents).
- Core Subjects: Credits must include English Language, Mathematics, and three subjects relevant to the candidate’s intended field of study.
Special Consideration for Deficiencies Candidates with a deficiency in either Mathematics (for Arts students) or English Language (for Science students) may be considered for provisional admission. However, candidates cannot have deficiencies in both subjects. Any deficiency must be remedied before the completion of the programme.
