IMPORTANT NOTICE ON THE POSTPONEMENT OF THE POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The Management of the School of Postgraduate Studies wishes to inform all newly admitted postgraduate students, members of the University community, and the general public that the Postgraduate Matriculation Ceremony, originally scheduled for Thursday, 9th April 2026, has been officially postponed.
This decision was taken after a careful administrative review aimed at ensuring that the ceremony meets the highest standards of academic dignity and logistical perfection befitting our advanced scholars.

- New Date: To be announced in due course
The postponement affects all candidates admitted into the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s (Academic and Professional), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
II. DIRECTIVES TO NEWLY ADMITTED POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS
While the formal matriculation ceremony has been rescheduled, academic activities will not be disrupted. Students are advised to note the following:
- Academic Continuity: Lectures, seminars, laboratory sessions, and supervisory meetings will continue uninterrupted as contained in the approved 2025/2026 postgraduate academic calendar.
- Registration and Clearances: This period should be utilized by candidates who are yet to complete their medical screening, departmental clearances, or payment of fees to regularize all necessary documentation.
- Academic Gowns: Students who have already collected their gowns are advised to keep them in good condition. Collection of gowns for those yet to do so remains suspended until further notice.
III. ADVISORY TO PARENTS, GUARDIANS AND GUESTS
The University Management sincerely regrets any inconvenience this postponement may cause to parents, sponsors, employers, and other well-wishers who had made travel and other arrangements to attend the ceremony.
All guests are kindly requested to suspend their travel plans until the new date is formally communicated.
