The Office of the Admission Officer, Federal Polytechnic Ede, has issued a high-priority circular to all Heads of Departments (HODs) and Deans of Schools regarding the mandatory regularization of admission for all part-time students.
This directive is a statutory requirement aimed at properly registering and validating the records of part-time candidates on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). Compliance is compulsory to secure your official admission status at the national level.
Failure to complete this process may lead to the invalidation of your academic records, denial of JAMB Admission Letter, and future complications with graduation and NYSC mobilization.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PART-TIME STUDENTS
To regularize your admission, you are required to carry out the following two critical steps:
- JAMB CBT Centre Registration Visit any accredited JAMB CBT Centre to formalize your registration as a part-time student. This process is essential for the generation of your official JAMB Admission Letter.
- O’Level Result Re-upload Log into your JAMB CAPS profile and successfully re-upload your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB). This ensures your qualifying results are properly verified and visible on the JAMB portal.
SCOPE OF THE DIRECTIVE
This memorandum applies to all part-time students across the following schools and departments:
- School of Applied Sciences – including Computer Science
- School of Engineering Technology – All Engineering programmes
- School of Business Studies – Business Administration and related departments
- School of Environmental Studies – Agricultural Technology, Estate Management, and others
The circular has been formally distributed to all Deans of Schools and Heads of Departments, who have been directed to ensure maximum publicity and compliance within their units.
WHY THIS PROCESS IS COMPULSORY
- It grants you national recognition as a bona fide student of Federal Polytechnic Ede.
- It is a prerequisite for obtaining your official JAMB Admission Letter.
- It qualifies you for NYSC mobilization or Exemption Certificate upon completion of your HND programme.
- It safeguards the integrity of your records during final clearance and certificate processing.
URGENT DEADLINE
Students are strongly advised to complete this regularization exercise within two (2) weeks of this announcement. While departmental deadlines may vary slightly, early compliance is highly recommended.
Please note that the Management will not be held responsible for any student who fails to graduate or participate in NYSC due to non-compliance with this directive.
CALL TO ACTION
All newly admitted part-time students — including those who previously obtained a JAMB registration number but do not yet have a part-time admission letter — are urged to treat this matter with utmost urgency.
Visit any accredited JAMB CBT Centre immediately, complete your registration, re-upload your O’Level results, and secure your future.
