The Management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) hereby invites all candidates who selected the University as their First Choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) applications to apply for the 2026/2027 Academic Session Admission Screening Exercise.
Interested applicants are directed to visit the official University website at www.unilorin.edu.ng to review full screening details and initiate their registration.
⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: Candidates must read and adhere strictly to these instructions. The University of Ilorin will not accept responsibility for incorrect data entry or errors made by applicants. Any wrong entry will result in automatic disqualification.
### ADMISSION AGGREGATE FORMULA
Admission consideration for the 2026/2027 session will be computed using the following criteria:

UTME / A’Level Score: 50%

Post-UTME Screening Score: 30%

Five (5) Relevant O’Level Grades: 20%
SECTION A: REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Applicants are strongly advised to print out this page and digest the rules thoroughly before starting the online application.

1. Registration Timeline: The registration portal opens at 00:01hr on Monday, 22nd June, 2026 and closes strictly at 23:59hr on Sunday, 5th July, 2026.

2. Credentials Upload: All candidates must upload their O’Level and A’Level results (where applicable) directly onto the JAMB CAPS portal. Candidates awaiting results must explicitly type or select ‘AR’ (Awaiting Result).

3. Change of Course/Programme: Any change of course must be executed on JAMB CAPS, not on the UNILORIN portal. The University will periodically sync and update data from JAMB CAPS up until the close of registration. No updates will be processed after the deadline.

4. Registration Prerequisites: Before commencing registration, ensure you have:

A valid National Identification Number (NIN).

An O’Level Result Checker PIN/Card.
-
A personal, active, and accessible email address.
-
A personal (not a third-party) mobile phone number.

5. Screening Fee: A non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.00 only must be paid online.

6. Data Review & Accuracy: Information entered can be edited and corrected at any time during the registration window before final submission. Cross-check your entries to guarantee an error-free submission.

7. Document Printout: Print your screening slip upon completion. Ensure all details are correctly displayed. If your information fails to render properly, re-enter the data.

8. Complaints Resolution: For any valid complaints regarding data discrepancies on your screening slip, contact the University Admissions Office immediately via email at admissions@unilorin.edu.ng.

9. Slip Clarity: Ensure your printed slips clearly reflect vital parameters, including your UTME subjects and exact scores.

10. Single-Sitting O’Level Requirement: Candidates applying for MB;BS, Pharmacy, Optometry & Vision Science, and Computer Engineering must present O’Level results obtained at ONE SITTING ONLY.

11. Verification Charges: Post-registration verification fees for NIN and O’Level results will be charged dynamically.

12. Screening Exemptions:

International Applicants: Candidates applying from outside Nigeria via UTME/DE are exempt from the Post-UTME test but will undergo screening post-admission.

Candidates with Disabilities: Blind, deaf, mute, autistic, amputee, lame, paralyzed candidates, as well as those with Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, ADHD, albinism, cerebral palsy, or physical disfigurements, are fully exempt from the screening test.

🔴 MANDATORY COMPLIANCE: At the close of registration, candidates must verify that the O’Level examination numbers and NIN uploaded to the UNILORIN portal match the data on JAMB CAPS identically.
SECTION B: STEP-BY-STEP REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Step 1: Visit the official portal at https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and click on Post-UTME Registration. Do not use any external or third-party links.

Step 2: On the Undergraduate Pre-admission landing page, click “Verify your details” on the right side of the screen.

Step 3: Provide your JAMB Registration Number, Phone Number, and Email Address. Your Surname and First Name will auto-populate for your confirmation. Ensure these contact details are personal and active.

Step 4: Click “Verify” to proceed to the payment gate.

Step 5: Click “Make Payment” to be redirected to the secure Remita platform.

Select your card type (Visa or MasterCard).
-
Input your 12-digit Card Number, Expiry Date, and 3-digit CVV code.

Enter your secure Card PIN and click Pay.

Note: Do not refresh your browser during processing. If a network delay occurs, wait a few hours to check for a debit alert. To resolve payment hitches, return to the Pre-admission page, click “Confirm your Payment”, input your JAMB number, and validate.

Step 6: Upon successful transaction processing, your unique login credentials will be automatically dispatched to your registered email address.

Step 7: Return to https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng, enter your JAMB Registration Number and the password sent to your email, then click Login.

Step 8: Navigate to “Application” on the left-hand menu and complete the required sections.

NIN & O’Level Verification: NIN verification is a one-time, irreversible process. Ensure your identity data and date of birth are perfect before submitting. Input valid O’Level result checker PINs to enable automated result retrieval.

Step 9: Review all details thoroughly and click Submit.
💡 UTME TO DIRECT ENTRY UPGRADES: Candidates upgrading from UTME to DE must finalize the upgrade on JAMB CAPS before starting registration on the UNILORIN portal. Ensure the updated status reflects accurately during your portal application.
SECTION C: DIRECT ENTRY (DE) CANDIDATES

Direct Entry applicants must follow the exact step-by-step procedures outlined in Section B (Steps 1 through 9).

In addition, DE candidates must select their highest academic qualification from the provided dropdown menu and accurately fill out all associated academic history.
FINAL NOTICE
Any discrepancy, error, or mismatch in your examination details will be interpreted as a deliberate falsification of data. This carries the penalty of automatic disqualification at any stage it is discovered.
