The Management of the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA), hereby invites all qualified UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 Academic Session to apply for its Admission Screening Exercise.
Online registration structures are fully operational for candidates who selected the institution as their primary choice, as well as those willing to switch to FUTIA on their JAMB profile.

O’Level Upload Deadline (JAMB CAPS): Monday, August 31, 2026

Age Prerequisite: Candidates must be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2026.

Admission Acceptance Window: Any provisional offer extended must be accepted on JAMB CAPS within four (4) weeks, or the slot will be permanently forfeited.
đź“‹ Eligibility Criteria & Regulations
To be eligible for screening and eventual placement on the institutional merit list, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

Minimum UTME Score: Achieved a minimum score of 160 or above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

Primary Choice Ranking: Selected the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi, as their first-choice institution on the JAMB database.

Change of Institution: Candidates who did not initially choose FUTIA but met the 160 cut-off mark are eligible to apply, provided they execute a change of institution to FUTIA via an approved JAMB CBT Centre prior to concluding their application.

O’Level Core Requirements: Possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects—including English Language and Mathematics—obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

Awaiting Results Provision: Candidates currently awaiting their 2026 O’Level results are eligible to apply, on the absolute condition that their deficiencies are cleared and results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS on or before the August 31 deadline.
