OFFICIAL ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Management of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas (FPOG), Bonny, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Full-Time National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND)programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

🛡️ GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For National Diploma (ND) Applicants

To be eligible for the ND programmes, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

• Age Limit: Minimum of sixteen (16) years of age at the time of application.

• UTME Performance: A minimum score of 100 in the 2026 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

• O’Level Credentials: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (WAEC, GCE, NECO, or equivalent) obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

• Faculty-Specific Requirements:

  • Engineering Programmes: Compulsory credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and Chemistry.

  • Applied Sciences Programmes: Compulsory credits in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics, and one Basic Science subject. (Note: Library and Information Science requires a credit pass in Literature-in-English).

  • Social/Business Sciences Programmes: Compulsory credits in Mathematics, English Language, and at least one of Economics, Commerce, or Marketing.

For Higher National Diploma (HND) Applicants

To be eligible for the HND programmes, candidates must present:

1. A relevant National Diploma (ND) certificate with a minimum of Lower Credit from an NBTE-recognized institution. (Pass grades may be evaluated under strict, specific institutional conditions).

2. Verifiable evidence of at least one (1) year post-ND Industrial Work Experience (SIWES).

3. An official copy of the original JAMB Admission Letter issued for their ND programme.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

⚠️ CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: All applicants must upload their O’Level results onto the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) portal immediately. Failure to upload credentials on CAPS will lead to automatic disqualification from the admission process.

Step 1: Change of Institution (For Non-First Choice Candidates)

Interested candidates who did not initially choose FPOG, Bonny as their first choice but wish to study at the institution—and scored 100 or above in the 2026 UTME—must visit any accredited JAMB CBT Centre or Cyber Café to change their institution to the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, as their First Choice.

Qualified candidates should visit the official institutional website to complete their application:

• Fill out the digital application forms carefully and upload all required supportive documentation.
