The University offers a rich and diverse array of postgraduate programmes designed to meet the needs of researchers, professionals, and scholars seeking advanced knowledge and specialization. Programmes are available in Full-Time, Part-Time, and Online study modes.
I. Postgraduate Programmes and Application Fees
Prospective candidates may apply for the following programme categories. The non-refundable application fees are as follows:

- Commencement of Sale of Forms: Wednesday, 15th April, 2026
- Application Deadline: Tuesday, 8th September, 2026
- Final Online Submission Deadline: Friday, 11th September, 2026
- Transcript Submission Deadline: Friday, 11th September, 2026
III. Transcript Submission Guidelines
All applicants must ensure that their official academic transcripts are forwarded to the Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies. Applications without verified transcripts will not be processed.
- Hard Copy: Transcripts should be sent physically to the Office of the Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies.
- Soft Copy: Official transcripts must be forwarded directly from the awarding institution’s email address to: secdr_transcript.cpgs@unizik.edu.ng
IV. Special Requirements for Ph.D. Candidates
In addition to the general admission requirements, Ph.D. applicants are required to:
- Upload a well-typed Research Proposal (maximum of five pages) on the application portal. The proposal should clearly state the intended area of study, problem statement, objectives, and methodology.
- Participate in a Virtual Proposal Defence. Specific dates and access links will be communicated to candidates through the email and phone number provided during registration.
