NOTICE TO UNILAG’S 100 – 200 (FRESHERS) LEVEL STUDENTS ON HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION BALLOTING EXERCISE FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION.
This is to inform all students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that application for hostel accommodation for 2025/2026 Academic Session is now opened. The application will close at 11:59 p.m. on TUESDAY, JAN 5, 2026. Thereafter, the balloting exercise for hostel allocation will hold on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2026
• Eligibility Criteria:
100 to 200 level students (FRESHERS) who have completed course registration for 1st Semester, 2025/2026 academic session
• Application Process:
Eligible 100 to 200 Level students must apply through their portals for hostel accommodation during the designated application window: SUNDAY, JANUARY 3 to TUESDAY, JANUARY 5, 2026.
• Allocation Criteria:
After the application window closes, bed spaces will be allocated randomly via a balloting system amongst all eligible applicants.
Important Dates to Remember:
• Application Start Date: 12:00 a.m., SUNDAY, JANUARY 3, 2026
• Application End Date: 11:59 p.m., TUESDAY, JANUARY 5, 2026
• Payment Deadline: Friday, JANUARY 15 2026
• Movement into Hall of Residence: IMMEDIATELY
All interested and eligible 100 to 200 LEVEL STUDENTS are enjoined to note these guidelines and comply within the specified timeline.
PLEASE NOTE THAT: STUDENTS IN EL-KANNEMI HALL 2; GBAJABIAMILA; WOMEN SOCIETY; AND OTHER HOSTEL IN THIS CATEGORY AROUND CAMPUS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BALLOTING EXERCISE.
PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT THE STUDENT AFFAIRS DIVISION HAS THE LIST OF STUDENTS LIVING IN THESE HOSTELS, AND ANY STUDENT WHO VIOLATES THIS DIRECTIVE WILL FACE THE STUDENTS’ DISCIPLINARY BOARD FOR SOCIAL MISCONDUCT.
