The Management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) hereby announces the official commencement of the online registration exercise for 2026/2027 Direct Entry (DE) Admissions into all undergraduate degree programmes.
Registration opens on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, and will close strictly on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria & General Requirements
To be eligible for the UNILAG 2026/2027 Direct Entry registration, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

First Choice Selection: Must have selected the University of Lagos as their First Choice Institution in the 2026 JAMB Direct Entry application.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years of age by September 30, 2026.

O’Level Qualifications: Possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at ONE sitting, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent recognized examinations.

Document Consistency: Ensure that candidate details—including full name, date of birth, state of origin, and Local Government Area (LGA)—are uniform across all academic records, JAMB profiles, and certificates.
Accepted Advanced Level Qualifications
Candidates must upload their qualifying results and certificates on the application portal, which may include:

First Degree, HND, OND, JUPEB, or Cambridge A’ Level

NCE, SDA, NFLV Diploma, MUSON Diploma, ABRSM, Trinity College London

Baccalaureate or DELF/DALF certifications
Step-by-Step Registration Procedure
Interested candidates are required to complete their application online via the official portal by following these steps:

Access the Portal: Visit the UNILAG application portal at unilag.edu.ng and select “Start New Application.”

Select Category: Choose “Undergraduate” as your Application Type.

Login: Enter your JAMB DE Registration Number as the username and your Surname in lowercase as the default password.

Generate Payment Advice: Generate and print your official payment invoice displaying the application fee (₦3,500).

Make Payment: Complete payment via online channels or at any designated commercial bank using the generated Payment Advice.

Complete Application: Return to the portal, click “Continue Application,” fill out the bio-data fields, and upload all required O’Level and A’Level credentials.

Review & Submit: Click “Preview” to verify all entered details, then click “Submit.”

Print Application Slip: Download and print your completed Direct Entry Application Slip for official screening and record keeping.
Crucial Warning: Candidates who fail to complete the online registration before the deadline on September 22, 2026, will not be considered for admission.
Special University Policies

Former UNILAG Students: Applicants whose prior admissions were withdrawn due to low academic performance or absence may reapply, provided the application is for an entirely different programme. Students expelled from the university are strictly ineligible for re-admission.

Zero-Tolerance Drug Policy: UNILAG maintains a strict zero-tolerance stance on substance abuse. All newly admitted students will undergo mandatory drug screening. Any candidate who tests positive before or after registration will have their admission immediately revoked.
