This is to inform all prospective UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who chose Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) as their First Choice for the 2026/2027 academic session that the online screening portal is now officially open.
Eligibility Criteria

UTME Candidates: Must have scored a minimum of 160 and above in the 2026 JAMB Examination.

Direct Entry Candidates: Must possess valid DE qualifications and select ATBU as their first choice.
Step-by-Step Online Registration Guidelines
Eligible candidates are required to visit the official ATBU screening portal at https://screening.atbu.edu.ng and update their bio-data by following these instructions:

Log In: Access the portal using your JAMB Registration Number as your username.

Generate Payment Invoice: Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number. Ensure Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi is selected as the institution.

Make Payment: Proceed to pay a non-refundable online screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) only. Payment can be made online via an ATM card or at any commercial bank of your choice.

Complete Bio-Data: Fill in your functional GSM phone number, email address, and all other required fields on the online screening form.

Submit Form: Verify all entered details carefully before final submission.

Print Slip: Download and print the Online Screening Acknowledgement Slip, which will be required for the physical screening exercise.
Important Timeline & Deadlines

Online Screening Portal Duration: The portal will remain open for two (2) weeks, from Monday, 13th July to Monday, 27th July 2026.

Physical Screening Exercise: Physical verification of credentials will commence on Monday, 27th July 2026 and run through Saturday, 22nd August 2026.
Crucial Information Notes
❗ Awaiting Results (AR) Candidates: All candidates who applied using awaiting results must revisit an accredited JAMB CBT centre to upload and update their O’Level results on their JAMB Profile immediately.
📄 Credential Verification: Original copies of all academic credentials must be presented for verification during the physical screening exercise. Failure to present them may lead to disqualification.
