OFFICIAL UPDATE: ACTIVATION OF CENTRAL ADMISSION PROCESSING SYSTEM (CAPS) FOR THE 2026 ADMISSION EXERCISE
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal for the 2026/2027 academic session. This activation marks the formal commencement of the admission evaluation, matching, and monitoring workflows for all tertiary institutions nationwide.
With this system fully live, prospective candidates can now log into their secure personal profiles to monitor their data tracking, upload statuses, and real-time institutional admission recommendations.
KEY FEATURES ACTIVE ON YOUR 2026 JAMB CAPS DASHBOARD
Candidates are strongly encouraged to log in immediately and verify that the following vital components are displaying accurately:

My Biodata (Profile Verification & Raw Score) This section hosts your full structural profile, including your passport photograph, full name, date of birth, state of origin, gender, and your official raw UTME score. Ensure all biographical text aligns perfectly with your institutional registrations.

2. My Choices (Institutional Hierarchy) This tab displays your chosen institutions and academic disciplines ranked by preference (First Choice, Second Choice, Third Choice, and Fourth Choice). Any recent changes of institution or course must reflect here to enable the matching system to run.

3. My O’Level (Credential Authentication) This field displays your uploaded secondary school grades (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent). If this section is blank, it means your results are missing from the system database.

4. Admission Status (Real-Time Offers) The final destination point tracking institutional choices. Your profile will transition through sequential tracking statuses, including “Admission in Progress,” “Approved,” or “CONGRATULATIONS! You have been offered admission.” This is where candidates must either Accept or Rejectprovisional admission offers.
CRITICAL CHECKLIST FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
⚠️ IMPORTANT ACTION REQUIRED: Do not assume your details are intact. Log into your dashboard via the JAMB e-Facility Portal using a secure browser (or via desktop mode on mobile) to audit your record status.
Why You Must Audit Your CAPS Profile Immediately:

O’Level Discrepancy: If your O’Level grades are not fully displaying under the “My O’Level” tab, your profile is incomplete. JAMB will automatically block your profile from appearing on your first-choice institution’s screening dashboard.

Tracking Updates: Checking your raw scores and choice tracking ensures that any recent Change of Institution data has successfully integrated into the central system pool.
