Who is Eligible to Join Us?
We are looking for passionate minds who want to excel. You are eligible to apply if you meet either of the following paths:

First Choice Believers: Candidates who selected the University of Calabar as their First Choice in the 2026/2027 JAMB UTME and scored a minimum of 150.

New Friends Welcome: Candidates who didn’t originally choose UNICAL as their first choice, but have realized it’s the perfect fit for them! If you scored a minimum of 150 in the 2026/2027 JAMB UTME and want to study with us, you are fully welcome to apply.

Goodbye Paperwork, Hello Digital! To make your life easier, we have completely phased out scratch cards and manual PINs. You can now complete your entire registration safely and securely online.

The screening fee is a non-refundable Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) only. Follow these simple steps to secure your spot:

Log In: Visit our dedicated portal at https://postutme.unical.edu.ng.

Validate: Enter your correct JAMB Registration Number on the homepage to instantly verify your details.

Register: Fill in your details. Please ensure you provide a valid email address and an active personal phone number so we can stay in touch.

Pay Securely: Pay your ₦2,000.00 screening fee using your ATM card, a quick Bank Transfer, or USSD via our secure payment gateway.

Submit & Print: Confirm all your entries are correct, click SUBMIT, and print out your completed registration slip.

Stay Reachable: Double-check your phone number and email! UNICAL cannot be held responsible if you miss vital updates due to an invalid or inactive contact address.

Aspiring Medical Students: In compliance with the Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS), candidates applying for Medicine & Surgery must present their O’Level results from one sitting only. Two sittings will not be accepted for this program.

Honesty is Key: We value integrity. Any false declarations regarding UTME scores, O’Level grades (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), or State of Origin will lead to automatic disqualification.
