1. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT & SCREENING TIMELINE
The Management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) hereby announces the official schedule for the Post-UTME (PUTME) and Post-Direct Entry (PUDE) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The screening exercise has been designated to take place between Monday, 27th July, 2026 and Saturday, 1st August, 2026. All evaluation sessions will be conducted within highly secured, designated ICT centers located on the Ugbowo Campus of the University.
2. STRICT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Prospective candidates must satisfy the following institutional parameters to qualify for the screening exercise:

JAMB Application: Only candidates who actively applied through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the 2026/2027 UTME or Direct Entry admissions are eligible.

Institutional Priority: Candidates must have explicitly selected the University of Benin as their First Choice Institution.

UTME Score Threshold: UTME candidates must have achieved an official score of 200 and above to be eligible for evaluation.

Academic Pathways: This screening exercise encompasses all major undergraduate disciplines, including but not limited to:

Social & Management Sciences: Economics, Mathematics & Economics, Estate Management.

Sciences: Statistics.

Legal Studies: Law.
-
Humanities & Education: Arts, Education–Arts, and all other institutional faculties.

3. VITAL COGNATE INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS
To ensure an orderly and compliant screening environment, candidates are strictly directed to adhere to the following operational guidelines:

Schedule Verification: Candidates are required to return to the university portal closer to the exam dates to check, verify, and print their specific Day, Venue, and Time for the screening.

Punctuality Standard: All candidates must be present, verified, and completely seated no later than one (1) hour prior to the stipulated commencement time for their scheduled session.

Prohibited Items: In line with strict examination integrity protocols, Mobile Phones, Calculators, Smartwatches, and all other electronic gadgets are strictly banned from the screening centers. Any candidate found in possession of these items will face immediate disqualification.
Mandatory Items for the Screening Center:
Candidates must present the following physical documents at their designated center to gain entry:

Official UNIBEN Online Acknowledgment Slip.

Screening Invitation Slip (detailing your personalized screening schedule and venue).
4. APPLICATION WINDOW & DEADLINE POLICY
The registration framework is bound by a strict, non-negotiable timeline. Management will not accommodate late entries under any circumstances.

Portal Activation: The application window officially opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, 1st June, 2026.

Active Registration Window: General application processing should be carried out between 8:00 a.m. on Friday, 5th June, 2026 and Midnight of Friday, 3rd July, 2026.

Hard Closing Date: The application portal will close precisely at Midnight on Friday, 3rd July, 2026. All online profile setups, data uploads, and payments must be fully concluded before this time.
⚠️ CRITICAL FINANCIAL WARNING: Any payment processed after the midnight deadline of Friday, 3rd July, 2026 is invalid. Candidates who pay late will forfeit their fees and will not be cleared for the screening exercise.
5. STEP-BY-STEP ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Carefully read the displayed institutional guidelines, scroll to the bottom of the landing page, and click on “BEGIN APPLICATION PROCESS”.

Input your official JAMB Registration Number and your verified JAMB Score, then set a secure, personalized alphanumeric password.

Log back into the system using your newly created credentials (User ID will be your JAMB Registration Number) to fill out your biodata, upload required documents, and finalize your screening application.
