ENTRY AND ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
General HND Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking admission into any of the HND programmes must strictly satisfy the following criteria:

National Diploma: Possess a National Diploma (ND) certificate from Auchi Polytechnic or any other NBTE-accredited institution.

JAMB Validation: Candidates must have a verified JAMB admission history for their foundational ND programme.
-
O’Level Standard: Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes—including English Language and Mathematics—in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB obtained at not more than two sittings.

Post-ND Industrial Training (IT): Minimum of one (1) year of post-ND cognate IT experience. Candidates graduating with an ND Pass grade must present a minimum of two (2) years of post-ND IT experience.

IT Certification: Applicants must upload their NBTE-certified Industrial Training completion certificates.

Academic Transcripts: Candidates applying from institutions other than Auchi Polytechnic must ensure their official academic transcripts are forwarded directly to the admissions office before application processing closes.
⚠️ ENFORCEMENT NOTICE: Any candidate found to be deficient in any of the above criteria after admission has been provisionally offered will face immediate revocation of their admission status.
4. SPECIALIZED PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
A. Professional Diploma in Building Technology

Academic Prerequisite: Minimum of a Lower Credit in HND Building Technology.

National Service: Verifiable evidence of NYSC completion or official exemption.
-
Duration: 18 Calendar Months.
B. Professional Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning
Applicants must satisfy one of the following academic pathways:

Minimum of an Upper Credit in HND Urban and Regional Planning, OR
-
Lower Credit in HND plus two (2) years of post-qualification cognate experience, OR
-
Pass grade in HND plus a minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification cognate experience.

National Service: Mandatory NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC O’LEVEL SUBJECT MANDATES
Prior to selecting a course, candidates must verify that their O’Level credit distribution complies with department-specific restrictions:

Select “Apply for 2026/2027 HND or Professional Diploma”.

Complete the initial registration request form to generate a unique Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).

Execute payment online or at any commercial bank using the generated RRR code.

Return to the portal, log in, and complete the remaining biodata fields.

Upload a clear, passport-sized photograph and digital copies of your required academic credentials.

Submit and print your official Acknowledgement Slip and Application Summary.
