The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) portal for the uploading of 2026 Ordinary Level (O-Level) results.
Following the decisions reached at the recently concluded 2026 National Policy Meeting, this portal activation is the critical next step for the 2026/2027 academic session. All UTME candidates who registered as “Awaiting Result” (AR) must now upload their newly released WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results to their JAMB profiles immediately.
The Unified Admission Policy: No Upload, No Admission
JAMB’s unified admission guidelines are entirely automated. Please be aware of the following critical points:

Automated Bypassing: Even if a candidate achieves a high score in the UTME, the CAPS portal will automatically bypass the profile if the O-Level field is blank. Institutional admission cannot be proposed for candidates with missing O-Level records.

Post-UTME Aggregate Calculations: Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education require verified O-Level data from CAPS to calculate departmental aggregate scores for upcoming screening exercises.

Important Notice for Dual-Sitting Candidates
Candidates combining two results (such as WAEC and NECO, or two sittings of WAEC) to meet their course requirements must ensure that both result slips are uploaded to the portal so that the profile updates correctly.

Gather Credentials: Prepare your original UTME Registration Slip, your printed O-Level Result Slip or slips, and your JAMB profile login credentials.
