Important Public Notice from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) wishes to inform the general public and all concerned stakeholders that the ongoing Direct Entry (DE) registration exercise has been temporarily suspended nationwide.
This short pause is necessary to allow for proper preparation and seamless conduct of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Mock, scheduled to hold on Saturday, 28th March, 2026.
The suspension will enable JAMB to streamline logistics, optimize resources, and ensure the mock examination is conducted smoothly across all designated centres without any disruptions.
Key Information for Candidates:
- The suspension of Direct Entry registration is temporary and strictly limited to the period required for the successful execution of the Mock UTME.
- Registration will resume immediately after the completion of the mock examination on Saturday, 28th March, 2026.
- No extension has been made to the overall Direct Entry registration deadline at this time. Candidates are therefore strongly advised to monitor official JAMB channels and act promptly once the portal reopens.
JAMB urges all candidates, registration centres, and accredited agents to widely disseminate this information to prevent any avoidable inconvenience, especially for those who were planning to complete their Direct Entry applications during this brief period.
We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all candidates and stakeholders as we work diligently to deliver a credible, hitch-free examination process for the 2026 admission cycle.
For further updates and official announcements, please visit the JAMB website (www.jamb.gov.ng) or follow verified JAMB social media handles.
Thank you.
