The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has reportedly begun uploading the list of successful candidates to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS) for the 2026/2027 academic session.
This update applies to all UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who participated in the university’s post-UTME screening and are awaiting their admission outcomes.
Because admission offers are uploaded in batches, candidates are strongly advised to keep close tabs on their JAMB CAPS profile and the official university portal.

Understanding Your CAPS Admission Status
-
“Admission In Progress” / “RECOMMENDED”: Your admission is currently being processed by the institution or JAMB. Check back regularly.
-
“CONGRATULATIONS – Offered Admission”: You have been officially admitted! Click Accept to secure your spot (or Reject if you do not intend to attend).
-
“Not Admitted”: Do not panic. UNIABUJA processes admissions in multiple batches; your name may appear in subsequent releases.
Recommended Action Plan for Candidates
-
Verify O’Level Upload: Ensure your O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) are fully uploaded to your JAMB profile; candidates without verified results cannot be offered admission.
-
Monitor Regularly: Check both your JAMB CAPS profile and the UNIABUJA Official Portal frequently.
-
Accept Promptly: Once an offer is made, accept it on CAPS within the stipulated window to receive your official JAMB admission letter.
-
Prepare for Clearance: Gather all original credentials and certificates in preparation for physical screening once official instructions are released.
Disclaimer: Admission uploads on JAMB CAPS occur in stages over several weeks. Candidates are advised to rely strictly on updates from official JAMB and UNIABUJA communication channels.
