In a statement released by the Registrar, Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo, the university management invites eligible undergraduate candidates who missed the primary Merit and Catchment Area cut-off marks to apply for alternative open academic programmes.
Excluded Undergraduate Programmes
The University Senate has specified that supplementary applications will not be accepted for high-demand professional courses. Candidates must select options outside the following restricted disciplines:

Faculty of Law: Law

College of Medical Sciences: Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science

Faculty of Engineering: Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering.
All other undergraduate programmes offered across various faculties remain available for supplementary consideration.
Eligibility Criteria & JAMB CAPS Directives

Cut-Off Requirement: Designed specifically for applicants who participated in the RSU screening exercise but fell short of their primary department’s Merit or Catchment score.

JAMB Change of Course Rules: Candidates who successfully changed their programme on JAMB CAPS on or before July 4, 2026, were already evaluated during the main admission review. Candidates who executed a change of course after July 4, 2026, must complete this supplementary application to qualify for screening.
