Official Announcement: Extension of Registration for 2026/2027 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Screening
The Management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, wishes to inform prospective students and the general public that the registration deadline for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise has been extended.
To accommodate qualified applicants who are yet to finalize their applications, the online registration portal will now remain open until Friday, August 14, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Application is open to candidates who satisfy the following conditions:

UTME Candidates: Must have scored a minimum of 150 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). (Note: Candidates are advised to verify the specific aggregate score required for their intended course of study).

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates: Possess relevant A’Level or diploma qualifications and are seeking direct admission into degree programmes.

First-Choice Requirement: Must have selected AE-FUNAI as their First Choice Institution on the JAMB portal.
Notice for Change of Institution: Candidates who did not initially choose AE-FUNAI as their first choice, but now wish to apply, must effect a Change of Institution/Course to AE-FUNAI via the official JAMB Portal on or before Friday, August 14, 2026.
Step-by-Step Registration Procedure

Access the Application Portal: Visit the official AE-FUNAI Post-UTME/DE Application Portal.

Profile Validation: Enter your valid JAMB Registration Number to generate your application profile.

Contact Details & Verification: Provide a functional email address and phone number, then verify your account using the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your email.

Processing Fee Payment: Remit the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 to the designated university account via bank transfer.

Confirm Payment: Click “I have made payment” on the portal to proceed with your application.

Form Completion & Acknowledgement: Fill in all required fields accurately, submit the form, and download/print your official registration acknowledgement slip.
Mode of Screening & Verification

Credential-Based Evaluation: The 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise will be conducted strictly via online screening and verification of academic credentials. There will be no physical CBT or aptitude test.

Mandatory O’Level & A’Level Upload on JAMB CAPS: All prospective candidates must ensure that their WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or Direct Entry results are successfully uploaded onto the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before Friday, August 14, 2026.
CRITICAL WARNING: Any Post-UTME/DE application without verified O’Level or A’Level results on JAMB CAPS will be automatically disqualified from admission processing.
