Call for Applications: 2026/2027 Pre-Degree Admission

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the LASUSTECH Pre-Degree Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

This comprehensive, nine-month remedial programme runs from October to July (split across two semesters). It is specifically engineered to provide intensive academic coaching across the Arts, Engineering, Science, and Social Sciences, preparing students to excel in their O’Level and UTME examinations while establishing a direct pathway into 100-Level undergraduate degree tracks at LASUSTECH.

Admission Entry Tracks & Requirements

Track A: Standard Admission (5 O’Level Credits)

• Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) obtained in not more than two sittings.

• Core Requirements: English Language, Mathematics (compulsory for Science/Social Sciences), and three other subjects relevant to the intended faculty:

  • Science/Engineering: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or other designated science subjects).

  • Social Sciences: English, Mathematics, Economics, Government, Accounts (or other relevant subjects).

  • Arts: English Language and four relevant subjects in the Humanities.

Track B: Awaiting Result (AR) Candidates

• Candidates currently awaiting their 2026 WAEC or NECO results are fully eligible to apply.

• Condition: Deficiency-free results must be uploaded to the portal before the conclusion of the Pre-Degree programme in July.

Track C: Remedial Track (Candidates with Deficiencies)

• Candidates who currently hold at least three (3) O’Level credits but lack key subject requirements may apply.

• Condition: Affected students must register for and clear their outstanding subjects via external WAEC/NECO examinations before the end of the Pre-Degree session.

Progression to 100-Level Undergraduate Programmes

Admissions into undergraduate degrees within the Faculties of Arts, Engineering, Science, and Social Sciences are competitive. Please note that participation in the Pre-Degree programme does not automatically guarantee undergraduate placement. To qualify for 100-Level consideration, candidates must:

1. Successfully complete and pass the internal LASUSTECH Pre-Degree curriculum.

2. Register, sit for, and score at least the Minimum Tolerable Score (MTS) in the 2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

3. Satisfy all foundational institutional and departmental O’Level prerequisites.

Selection and Qualifying Screening

All shortlisted applicants will be required to sit for a mandatory written qualifying entrance examination. Details regarding individual screening dates and venues will be communicated via the official application portal.

Interested candidates are to complete their registration through the university’s dedicated portal by following these steps:

• Step 1: Visit the official portal: https://predegree.lasustech.edu.ng

• Step 2: Fill out the online application form with accurate demographic and academic data.

• Step 3: Remit the non-refundable application fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (₦15,000) through the authorized online payment gateway.

• Step 4: Submit the online profile and print out your completed Application Form summary.

• Step 5: Submit a physical copy of the printed application form along with supporting documents (O’Level results/AR details, Birth Certificate, and NIN) to the Pre-Degree Programme Office, LASUSTECH Main Campus, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Important Notices for Applicants

• Application Fee: ₦15,000 (Non-refundable). Ensure all payments are channeled strictly through the approved portal system.

• Application Closing Date: The deadline will be announced on the portal. Prospective students are urged to finalize their applications early to ensure smooth screening processing.

• Status Updates: Applicants must regularly monitor their portal profiles and registered email addresses for updates on entrance exam dates, cut-offs, and registration schedules.
