Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the 2026/2027 Academic Session Admission Screening Exercise at the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

First-Choice Candidates: Applicants who selected SUMAS as their First-Choice institution and scored 150 or above in the 2026 UTME.

Change of Institution: Candidates who did not initially choose SUMAS but scored 150 or above in the 2026 UTME, and now wish to study at the institution, are advised to effect a Change of Institution to SUMAS as their First Choice on the JAMB portal.

Alternative Entry Modes: Direct Entry (DE) and Inter-University Transfer applicants must follow the exact same registration procedure, ensuring they select the correct Admission Category during their portal application.
ADMISSION & CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
All prospective candidates must satisfy the following minimum academic standards:

O’Level Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two (2) relevant subjects across WAEC SSCE, NECO SSCE, or approved equivalents.

Sittings Framework:

Medicine and Surgery: Must possess the five (5) required credits in one (1) sitting only.

All Other Programmes: Maximum of two (2) sittings is permitted.

Mandatory JAMB CAPS Upload: Candidates must upload their O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) onto their personal JAMB profile via the JAMB e-Facility Portal.
⚠️ CRITICAL NOTICE: Any candidate who fails to upload their O’Level results onto JAMB CAPS will be automatically blocked by the system from admission consideration.
APPLICATION FEE & PAYMENT PROCEDURE

Screening Fee: A non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000.00) only is required.

Payment Narration: To ensure proper payment validation, the transaction narration must be strictly formatted as the applicant’s JAMB Registration Number.
