Lagos State University (LASU) has officially announced the commencement of its Online Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. This screening is compulsory for all candidates seeking admission into 100-Level (via UTME) and 200-Level (via Direct Entry).

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the screening, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Choice of Institution: Must have chosen LASU as their first choice in the 2026 UTME.

UTME Cut-off Mark: A minimum score of 195 and above.

Age Limit: Must be at least 16 years old by October 1, 2026. –

Target Groups: Open to UTME candidates, Direct Entry (DE) applicants, successful LASU Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) students, and JUPEB candidates.
Important Direct Entry Note: LASU only accepts LASU Diploma qualifications for Direct Entry, with the sole exception of NCE holders applying to the Faculty of Education.
O’Level Requirements & Grading
Admission will be determined by a point grading system based on your UTME score and O’Level grades in five (5) relevant subjects.

Sittings: Maximum of two (2) sittings allowed for most courses.

Medicine & Dentistry: Strictly one (1) sitting only.

Engineering: Two sittings are allowed, but candidates must possess six (6) credits (including English, Math, Physics, and Chemistry).

Aeronautic & Astronautic Engineering: Must include a credit in Further Mathematics.

Core Requirement: English Language is compulsory for all courses.

Cut-off Date: Any O’Level examination taken after July 2026 will not be accepted.

JAMB CAPS: Ensure your O’Level results are uploaded on the JAMB CAPS portal. Failure to do so will forfeit your admission consideration.

The entire registration process is strictly online. Follow these steps to apply:

Visit the Portal: Go to the official LASU website and navigate to: Student ➔ New Applicants ➔ UTME/DE Screening.

Login: Enter your UTME Registration Number and Surname.

Make Payment: Select Admission Screening Fee, choose Ojo Campus, select your Student Category, and proceed with the payment.
-
Complete the Form: After payment, return to your dashboard to fill out your personal details, parent/guardian contact info, course choice, and O’Level results.
Note: Double-check your entries before final submission. While corrections can be made later, additional fees or rescreening charges may apply.
