The Management and Academic Board of Dorben Polytechnic, Garam, Abuja, proudly announce the upcoming 27th Matriculation Ceremony for all newly admitted National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students for the ongoing academic session.
This formal ceremony marks the official induction of our fresh students into the academic community and reaffirms the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and technical innovation.

Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
Venue: The Convocation Ground, Main Campus, Dorben Polytechnic, Garam, Bwari-Abuja.
Important Directives for Fresh Students
To ensure a seamless and successful ceremony, all newly admitted students are strictly required to adhere to the following procedural timeline:

Payment for Academic Gowns
Clearing Fees First
Proceed to the bursary department or the approved school portal to pay the mandatory matriculation gown hiring fee. Ensure you safely keep your official payment receipt.

Collection of Matriculation Regalia
Faculty/Store Officer
Present your payment receipt to your respective Faculty Officer or School Store to collect your academic gown, cap, and booklet. Gown collection begins on Monday, June 8, 2026.

Procession and Seating
Day of Event — 9:00 AM
Arrive at the Convocation Ground fully dressed in your academic regalia no later than 9:00 AM. Fresh students must be seated in their designated departmental blocks before the academic procession begins.

Signing the Matriculation Register
Immediate Post-Event
Immediately after the ceremony, proceed to your department to sign the official Matriculation Oath Register. Failure to sign the register means your admission remains unverified.

Return of Academic Gowns
Deadline Rule
Return the hired academic gown to the point of collection within 48 hours of the event’s conclusion. Late returns will attract a daily fine.
Notice to Parents, Guardians, and Guests
Parents and guests are cordially invited to share in this joyous occasion. However, to maintain order and security, all guests are requested to be seated by 9:30 AM. Vehicles must be parked only at the designated parking zones within the campus gates.
