I. Eligibility & UTME Benchmarks
To maintain our tradition of excellence, the university has established the following admission thresholds for the 2026 academic cycle:

General Minimum Score: A minimum score of 170 in the 2026 UTME is required for general eligibility.

Medicine & Surgery (MBBS): Candidates aspiring for the MBBS program are traditionally expected to have significantly higher scores, typically 220 and above, with competitive scores often exceeding 280.

Choice of Institution: PUMS must be selected as your First Choice on the JAMB portal. Candidates who did not initially select PUMS are required to effect a Change of Institution via JAMB to qualify for screening.

CAPS Compliance: Mandatory upload of O’Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
