IBB University, Lapai Secures Full NUC Accreditation for 10 Programmes
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, has achieved a significant academic milestone with the National Universities Commission (NUC) granting full accreditation to 10 undergraduate programmes. One additional programme received interim accreditation.
This certification, valid until 2030 for the fully accredited programmes, follows a comprehensive assessment conducted by NUC evaluation teams on campus between October and November 2025. The official notification was conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Hadi Sulaiman, in a letter signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary.

He noted that IBB University now ranks among the elite institutions in Nigeria with a high percentage of fully accredited programmes.
Professor Sulaiman expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Niger State and Visitor to the University, Farmer Umaru Mohammed Bago, for his consistent financial backing. He also acknowledged the pivotal support of the Ministries of Tertiary Education, Finance, and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Reaffirming the university’s commitment to quality, the Vice-Chancellor pledged that management will continue to uphold the NUC’s rigorous academic standards. He commended the staff and students for their dedication and encouraged the university community to remain resolute in driving the institution’s growth for the benefit of the state and the nation.
