ADMISSION INTO THE INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD EXAMINATION (IJMBE) PROGRAMME FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) programme at Akawe Torkula Polytechnic (ATP), Makurdi, for the 2026/2027 academic session.
About the Programme The IJMBE is a Federal Government-approved, one-year intensive Advanced Level programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. It serves as an alternative to the JAMB/UTME route, offering the following advantages:

Direct Entry: Successful candidates are guaranteed Direct Entry (DE) admission into 200 Level in the majority of Nigerian universities.

O’Level Remediation: Enrolled students have the opportunity to remedy O’Level deficiencies in Mathematics and English Language during the programme.

Long-term Validity: The IJMBE certificate is widely accepted and does not expire.

Admission Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).

Awaiting Results/Deficiencies: Candidates awaiting their O’Level results, or those with deficiencies in Mathematics or English Language, are eligible to apply, provided they remedy these subjects during the course of the IJMB programme.
Method of Application

Form Collection: Application forms can be obtained physically at the Bursary Department, ATP Main Campus, Makurdi.

Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of Three Thousand, Eight Hundred Naira (₦3,800.00) is required.

Submission: Completed application forms must be submitted to the Admissions Office alongside all requested supporting documents.
