The Management of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the College of Nursing Sciences for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The College offers a premier 4-Year Non-Terminal OND/HND General Nursing Programme. This integrated curriculum is designed to produce highly skilled nursing professionals through a rigorous blend of theoretical instruction and intensive clinical practice within the tertiary healthcare environment of UITH.
I. Statutory Admission Requirements
To be eligible for consideration, prospective candidates must satisfy the following institutional and regulatory criteria:
1. JAMB UTME Requirements:
- Participation: Candidates must have sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Subject Combination: Must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Benchmark Score: A minimum UTME score of 180 is mandatory.
- Institution Choice: Candidates who did not initially select UITH as their first choice must effect a “Change of Institution” to the College of Nursing Sciences, UITH, via an accredited JAMB CBT Centre.
2. O’Level Academic Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Credits must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
- Note on NABTEB: NABTEB results are acceptable but cannot be combined with other examination boards (WAEC/NECO).
3. Age & Physical Requirements:
- Age: Minimum of 16 years at the time of application.
- Health: Applicants must be free from any criminal record and possess no physical deformities of the hands that might hinder clinical performance.
II. Financial Obligations
The total application and processing fee is ₦10,000.00, comprising:
- Post-UTME Fee: ₦2,000
- Screening/Interview Fee: ₦7,000
- Administrative Charges: ₦1,000
III. Application Procedure (Remita Process)
Candidates are strictly advised to follow the official payment gateway to avoid fraudulent activities:
- Generate Remita: Visit remita.net. Select “Pay FGN and State TSA” -> “Federal Government of Nigeria.”
- Service Type: Search for “University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital” and select the “UITH General Purpose Account.”
- Completion: Complete the payment, return to the UITH portal to finish the application, and present the Remita receipt at the Bursary Unit for official verification.
- Security Warning: The Hospital will never request payments to personal accounts or via cash.
IV. Screening & Documentation
The screening exercise will take place at the ICT Centre, Schools’ Complex, UITH. Candidates must present original and photocopies of:
- JAMB Result and Change of Institution Slips.
- O’Level Certificate(s).
- NPC Birth Certificate.
- Application Form Printout and Remita Receipt.
