II. General Entry Requirements for HND Programmes
To maintain high academic standards, prospective HND candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a National Diploma (ND) in the relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Obtain a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA of 2.50 and above).
- Have five (5) credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.
- Complete the mandatory Industrial Training (IT) experience: – One (1) year post-ND cognate experience for candidates with Lower Credit or higher. – Two (2) years post-ND cognate experience for candidates with a Pass grade (CGPA 2.00 – 2.49).
- Submit official academic transcripts from the previous institution, sent directly to the Registrar of Kogi State Polytechnic.
III. Part-Time Programmes
For working professionals and mature students seeking flexible study options, the Polytechnic offers Part-Time ND and HND programmes at the following study centres: Lokoja • Okene • Kabba • Anyigba
Available courses include Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Science, Public Administration, Office Technology and Management (OTM), Library and Information Science, and Diploma in Law.
IV. Method of Application & Fees
Candidates are advised to apply through the official portal to avoid fraudulent platforms:
- Visit the Polytechnic portal: https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng
- Generate two separate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) numbers for: – Admission Form Fee: ₦10,000.00 – Screening Fee: ₦10,000.00
- Make payment at any commercial bank or online via ATM card.
- Complete the online registration and print the summary page.
- Submit hard copies of all required credentials to the Admissions Office in Lokoja.
