The Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi has approved the terminal schedule for the completion of registration for the First Semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.
Following the earlier extension granted on 10th March, 2026, this communication serves as the definitive Final Call to all students — both returning and newly admitted — who are yet to complete their registration and regularize their academic records.
To safeguard the integrity of the academic calendar and ensure a smooth transition into the examination period, the institution is now moving from the “Magnanimity Grace Period” to a strictly enforced Late Registration Phase.
Two-Phase Registration Termination Schedule
The Registrar’s Office has outlined the following clear timeline:
Phase 1: Expiration of the Grace Period Deadline: Friday, 27th March, 2026 (Close of Business) This is the final opportunity for regular registration without any additional penalties. All students are strongly advised to validate their course forms and complete fee payments on the portal by this date.
Phase 2: Approved Late Registration Window Duration: Monday, 30th March – Friday, 3rd April, 2026 Any registration activity after Friday, 27th March, 2026, will automatically be treated as Late Registration. This one-week window is the absolute final administrative concession.
Financial Implications: Penalty Structure
In line with Management’s commitment to discipline, timely data processing, and academic order, a daily late registration penalty has been approved as follows:
- Daily Charge: ₦1,000 (One Thousand Naira Only) per day
- The penalty will accrue for each business day a student remains unregistered within the late registration window.
- Final Closure: The portal will be permanently locked at the close of business on Friday, 3rd April, 2026. No further registrations or appeals will be entertained thereafter, irrespective of payment of accumulated fines.
Administrative Compliance and Support to Students
To ensure no student is disadvantaged due to lack of information, all Heads of Departments (HODs), Class Coordinators, and Registration Officers are directed to:
- Widely disseminate this notice on departmental notice boards and official digital platforms (including WhatsApp groups and the student portal).
- Provide necessary guidance and verification support to students before the Friday, 27th March deadline.
- Submit all departmental registration records to the Central Registry no later than the close of the late registration window.
Urgent Advisory
This notice represents the final administrative safety net for the 2025/2026 First Semester. Students are strongly urged to act immediately to avoid the avoidable financial burden of the ₦1,000 daily penalty and any risk of exclusion from the official examination broadsheets.
Completing your registration by Friday, 27th March, 2026, remains the smartest and most cost-effective decision. Do not wait until the last minute — secure your semester eligibility today.
For any technical challenges with the portal, students should contact the ICT/Support Unit promptly.
