Akwa State Polytechnic Announces 31st Matriculation Ceremony
The Management of Akwa State Polytechnic (Akwa Poly) wishes to inform all registered students (ND1 Full-Time and AkwaPoly Consult) and the entire Polytechnic community that the 31st Matriculation Ceremony is scheduled to hold as follows:
Date: Thursday, 19th March, 2026 Venue: Polytechnic Convocation Ground Time: 11:00 a.m. prompt
Eligibility for Participation
Participation in the matriculation ceremony is strictly restricted to students who have:
- Fully paid their school fees for the 2025/2026 academic session.
- Completed their departmental registration.
Only students who satisfy both conditions will be allowed to participate.
Collection of Academic Gowns
Heads of Departments are requested to collect academic gowns from the Central Stores for distribution to eligible matriculating students.
Collection Period: Tuesday, 17th March to Wednesday, 19th March, 2026.
Please note that the cost of the academic gown has already been included in the fees. All eligible students are therefore expected to collect their gowns as directed to ensure they are properly attired for the ceremony.
Signing of Matriculation Registers
Immediately after the ceremony, all matriculants are required to sign the Matriculation Registers at the offices of their respective Deans of Schools. This signing is mandatory as it serves as the official record of induction into the Polytechnic.
Important Reminders
- Students must ensure that all fees are fully paid and registration completed before the ceremony.
- Heads of Departments are to coordinate the timely collection and distribution of gowns and ensure strict compliance with the official dress code.
- Matriculants are expected to conduct themselves with the highest level of decorum and respect for the traditions and regulations of Akwa State Polytechnic throughout the event.
