Administrative Requirements for Matriculants
To participate in the 2nd Matriculation Ceremony, newly admitted students must fulfill specific administrative obligations as outlined by the College Registry.
1. Academic Regalia (Hiring and Collection) The use of the official college academic gown is mandatory. Students are expected to visit the Bursary Department to pay the prescribed hiring fee. Upon presentation of the payment receipt at the Student Affairs Office, students will be issued their gowns. It is advised that collection be completed by Friday, 20th February 2026, to allow for proper fitting and preparation.
2. The Matriculation Procession In line with academic tradition, the ceremony will begin with a formal procession. Students are expected to be fully dressed in their gowns and seated at the Matriculation Arena by 9:15 AM. The Provost’s procession, involving the Academic Board and senior staff, will commence at 10:00 AM to signify the official opening of the ceremony.
3. Signing the Matriculation Register The high point of the event is the signing of the Matriculation Register. This document is the legal record of a student’s enrollment. Any student who fails to sign this register, even if they attend the ceremony, is not considered a bona fide student of Remington College and may face challenges with future professional board registrations.

Significance of Professional Induction in Health Sciences
As a specialized health science institution, Remington College emphasizes that matriculation is more than a celebration; it is an induction into a life of service and clinical responsibility. The Provost’s address is expected to highlight the importance of the Hippocratic principles of “doing no harm” and the necessity of academic integrity in medical education.
The college’s location in Rumuji, Emohua LGA, provides a serene and focused environment for healthcare training. The management has made arrangements with local security agencies and the college security unit to ensure a safe and hitch-free event for the parents, guardians, and well-wishers expected from across Rivers State and beyond.
