Kano State Polytechnic (KANOPOLY) has released the first Higher National Diploma (HND) admission list for the 2025/2026 session. This list is for candidates who passed a thorough screening of their National Diploma results, industrial training certificates, and departmental entrance exams. This is the first step in admitting students into advanced professional programs across the polytechnic’s schools.
Checking Your Admission Status
The Polytechnic has made the admission list available online to ensure easy access and transparency. You can check your status digitally without needing to visit the campus.
Steps to Check Admission Status:
-
Visit the Portal: Navigate to the official Kano State Polytechnic admission portal.
-
Authentication: Enter your application number or the credentials used during the initial HND application phase.
-
Status Confirmation: Click on “Check Admission Status” to see if your name has been shortlisted for the first batch.
-
Notification Slip: Successful candidates are advised to print their provisional admission notification for administrative reference.
The Post-Admission Workflow: Acceptance and Registration
Securing a spot on the first batch list is a provisional milestone. To confirm their place, candidates must strictly follow the institutional timeline for acceptance and registration.
1. Payment of Acceptance Fee
Candidates must pay the non-refundable acceptance fee through the designated bank channels or the online payment gateway. This payment acts as a formal “intent to enroll.” Failure to complete this within the stipulated timeframe will result in the automatic forfeiture of the admission slot to candidates in subsequent batches.
2. Physical Clearance and Document Verification
Once the acceptance fee is processed, candidates must report to their respective schools (e.g., School of Technology, School of Management Studies) for physical screening. You will be required to present original copies of:
-
ND Statement of Result (reflecting a minimum of Lower Credit).
-
Industrial Training (IT) Completion Letter (evidence of one year of relevant experience).
-
O’Level Results(WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) with five credits including English and Mathematics.
-
JAMB Admission Letter (for the ND program).
Advisory for Pending Applicants
The Polytechnic management has addressed candidates who did not find their names in this initial release. The “First Batch” represents only a portion of the total intake capacity.
-
Subsequent Batches: Additional lists (Second and Third batches) are currently being processed by the Academic Office and will be released in due course as more candidates meet the clearance criteria.
-
Patience and Monitoring:Applicants are urged to remain patient and check the portal periodically. Often, delays occur due to pending ND transcript reconciliations or incomplete IT verification.
