JUST IN: FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT SCIENCE (FUTES) BEGINS UPLOADING NAMES ON JAMB CAPS FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Management of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTES), Iyin-Ekiti, has officially commenced the uploading of candidates’ names onto the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for the 2026/2027 academic exercise.
This marks a significant step in the admission process, enabling eligible UTME and Direct Entry candidates who participated in the screening to monitor, confirm, and accept their admission offers through the official JAMB portal.
What Prospective Candidates Should Know
Batch-by-Batch Upload: The upload of admission lists on JAMB CAPS is being conducted in phases. Candidates whose status still shows “Not Admitted” or “Admission in Progress” are advised to remain calm and check their profiles regularly.
Institutional Choice: Applicants must ensure that FUTES-Iyin is set as their First Choice on JAMB CAPS. Candidates who initially chose other institutions must effect a Change of Institution on the JAMB portal to enable processing.
O’Level Verification: Candidates are strongly reminded that verified O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) must be successfully uploaded onto JAMB CAPS. Candidates without uploaded O’Level results cannot be recommended for admission.
How to Check Your Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
1. Visit the official JAMB e-Facility Portal (`[https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/](https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/)`).
2. Log in using your registered email address and password.
3. Scroll down and click on Check Admission Status.
4. Select Access my CAPS. (If accessing via a mobile phone, switch your browser settings to Desktop Site view).
5. Click on Admission Status on the left menu bar to view your current standing.
Understanding Your CAPS Admission Status
ADMISSION OFFERED: You have been offered provisional admission. Click ACCEPT to confirm your admission offer, or REJECT if you do not wish to accept.
RECOMMENDED: The university has shortlisted your application, and final approval from JAMB is pending.
ADMISSION IN PROGRESS: Your details are actively being processed by the institution and JAMB.
NOT ADMITTED: Your application is still under consideration or awaiting subsequent batch uploads.
Important Notice to Admitted Candidates
Candidates who receive an “Admission Offered” notification are required to accept the offer immediately. Upon acceptance, candidates should proceed to print their official JAMB Admission Letter and Original Result Slip for physical clearance and registration at the university campus.
