Lagos State University (LASU) is currently processing refund requests from full-time undergraduate students who initially paid ₦70,000 for the Convocation Package Fee before the university reduced the fee to ₦53,500.
Students who made payments via the university’s official GlobalPay platform and paid the higher amount are eligible to apply for a refund of the ₦16,500 difference.
To request a refund, students must submit a formal application including their full name, matriculation number, payment date, and bank account details. The application should specify that the ₦70,000 payment was made prior to the fee revision.
Applicants must also attach:
- The official LASU payment receipt showing the ₦70,000 payment
- LASU Student Identity Card
- A valid means of identification recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria
- Personal Commercial Bank account information (account name, bank name, and account number)
Kindly note that students are urged to provide accurate information and complete documentation to ensure smooth processing.
LASU clarifies that submission of a refund request does not guarantee immediate processing, as applications are still being received and reviewed by the relevant authorities.
