The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted approval for Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, to commence 24 new full-time academic programmes starting from the 2026/2027 academic session.
The approval was conveyed in an official letter dated June 19, 2026, signed by NUC Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girei, and addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh.
The newly accredited expansion includes 14 undergraduate degrees and 10 postgraduate programmes across health sciences, engineering, education, management, and the arts.
