This is to inform the general public, particularly prospective applicants, that in strict alignment with the collaborative guidelines of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare (ASCOEA), has released its newly structured admission and academic progression policies for the 2026/2027 academic session.
KEY ADMISSION GUIDELINES & POLICY CHANGES
Prospective students are requested to study the following revised academic regulations carefully:

1. Direct Entry Admission (300 Level Only) All National Certificate in Education (NCE) holders with lower pass or pass grades are now fully eligible for direct admission consideration into the 300 Level of our undergraduate degree programmes.

2. UTME Exemption for NCE Programmes Sitting for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME examination is no longer a mandatory requirement for admission into our regular NCE programmes.

3. Mandatory Registration Verification To secure an admission slot, candidates must successfully obtain official O’Level verification codes and generate their unique JAMB profile codes. The complete application must be filled and processed via accredited JAMB CBT Centres or the Institution Professional Registration Centres (IPRCs).

4. Restructuring of Degree Admissions Fresh admissions into the institution’s NCE and Degree frameworks will primarily be targeted at NCE Year One. New admissions into the 100 Level and 200 Level degree tracks have been discontinued.

Note: This policy applies only to new intakes; already existing/returning students in the 100L and 200L degree tracks remain completely unaffected and will continue their studies uninterrupted.

5. Baseline O’Level Requirements Prospective NCE candidates must possess a minimum of four (4) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in matching sittings.

6. Civil Service Career Advantages Graduates of the newly structured degree programmes are legally positioned for exceptional civil service career placement benefits. Upon entry into the civil service workforce, ASCOEA degree graduates will step in at Grade Level 09, giving them an immediate advantage over the typical Grade Level 08 entry point designated for regular university graduates.
ACTION STEPS FOR APPLICANTS
⚠️ CRITICAL INSTRUCTION: Eligible candidates are urged to immediately visit the institutional campus or an authorized IPRC/CBT centre to complete their profiling, authenticate their O’Level codes, and ensure accurate document uploading before the session data pool closes.
