The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted formal approval for the university to introduce and commence thirty-three (33) cutting-edge postgraduate programmes, effective from the upcoming 2026/2027 academic session.
This major academic expansion follows a rigorous and highly successful resource verification exercise conducted by a team of NUC experts, who assessed the institution’s facilities, faculty strength, and curriculum readiness. The executive approval was formally communicated to the university in a letter dated June 15, 2026, signed by the Commission’s Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar Girei.
