JUST IN: COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, LAFIA RELEASES PRE-ND AND HND ADMISSION FORMS FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
To All Prospective Applicants and the General Public:
The Management of the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia (COALAFIA) wishes to inform the general public that application forms for admission into its Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session are now officially on sale.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates looking to advance their technical, scientific, and agricultural education in a premier institutional setting.
1. Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes
General Entry Requirements
Candidates applying for the HND programmes must satisfy the following criteria:
National Diploma (ND):Must possess a National Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution with a minimum grade of Lower Credit.
Industrial Training (IT):Evidence of a minimum of one (1) year post-ND cognate work experience.
Note: Candidates with an ND “Pass” grade must present evidence of at least two (2) years of post-qualification industrial work experience.
O’Level Credits:A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, at WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
Academic Transcripts:Candidates who completed their ND at institutions other than COALAFIA must arrange for their official academic transcripts to be forwarded directly to the Office of the Registrar.
2. Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) Programmes
General Entry Requirements:
The Pre-ND programme is a one-year preparatory course designed for candidates aiming to remedy deficiencies or strengthen their foundations for subsequent admission into full-time National Diploma (ND) programmes.
Requirements:Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credits or attempted WAEC/NECO/NABTEB in relevant subjects. The course aims to prepare students to meet the entry requirements for science, technology, and agriculture-based departments.

Ensure that valid phone numbers and active email addresses are provided during the application process, as all screening schedules and admission statuses will be communicated via these channels.
HND candidates must complete their transcript submission promptly; failure to provide official academic transcripts before the close of admission processing will invalidate the application.
