JUST IN: UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN (UNILORIN) ANNOUNCES RAIN SEMESTER COMMENCEMENT DATE FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION
To All Returning and New Students, Parents, and the General Public:
The Management of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), better known as the University of Ilorin by the Grace of God, wishes to officially notify all undergraduate and postgraduate students, staff, and the university community that the commencement date for the Rain Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Session has been approved.
Following the successful conclusion of the Harmattan Semester examinations and the subsequent break, the University Senate has ratified the resumption timeline to ensure a seamless continuation of the academic calendar.
Directives for All Students
To ensure a productive and hitch-free semester, Management strictly advises all students to adhere to the following directives:
1. Prompt Registration: Students are urged to log in to their respective portals early to complete their course registrations and resolve any pending fee payments to avoid last-minute portal congestion.
2. Lecture Attendance: As customary at the University of Ilorin, the 75% lecture attendance rule remains fully in effect. Only students who meet this threshold will be eligible to write the Rain Semester examinations.
3. Campus Conduct: Students are reminded to remain law-abiding, adhere strictly to the university’s dress code, and uphold the high moral and academic standards expected of UNILORIN students.
