The Management of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) hereby invites indigenes of Lagos State who applied for admission for the 2026/2027 academic session to the Lagos State Independent Indigeneship Verification Exercise.
Participation in this exercise is a mandatory prerequisite for admission consideration for all candidates claiming Lagos State origin.

âś… Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the verification exercise, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Origin: Must be a bona fide indigene of Lagos State.

Choice of Institution: Must have selected LASUED as their First Choice in the 2026 UTME.

UTME Score: A minimum score of 185 in the 2026 UTME.

Category: Both UTME and Direct Entry (DE) applicants are eligible.

Revalidation: Applicants from the 2025/2026 session who were not admitted must revalidate their clearance certificates.

Candidates must present the original and photocopies of the following:

Completed Indigeneship Form & Payment Receipt.

Candidate’s Birth Certificate.
-
Father’s Birth Certificate.

Evidence of Heritage: A formal Letter from a recognized Oba (Note: Only letters from an Oba are acceptable).

Letter from the Chairman of the relevant Local Government Area.

Landed Property Documents.

Venue: Senator Oluremi Tinubu Hall, LASUED Campus. Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily (Monday to Thursday).
