The Management of the University on the Niger is pleased to announce that the portal for the 2026/2027 undergraduate admission cycle officially opened on May 9, 2026.
As an institution fully approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and accredited by relevant professional bodies, we invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for our various degree programmes across our two specialized locations in Anambra State:

I. Statutory Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the screening process, applicants must adhere to the following mandatory requirements:

Academic Credentials: A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, specifically including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two (2) sittings.

JAMB Compliance: Candidates must execute a “Change of Institution/Course” to the University on the Niger via the official JAMB Portal.

CAPS Verification: It is mandatory to upload O’Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) to facilitate admission processing.
II. Application & Registration Protocol
The application attracts a non-refundable processing fee of Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000).

Step 2: Payment: Proceed to the secured Paystack Gateway to remit the ₦2,000 processing fee.

Step 3: Portal Authentication: Ensure you use a functional and accessible email address. Note: Your JAMB Registration Number will serve as your default password for portal access.

Step 5: Final Submission: Alternatively, navigate through the main website under “Admission” > “Continue Application” to review and finalize your submission.
III. Methodology of Screening
For the 2026/2027 session, the University will adopt a Document-Based Assessment. Admission decisions will be predicated on the verification and evaluation of:
