The Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) is pleased to announce the commencement of the sale of application forms for the One-Year Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Programme for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The IJMB programme is a premier advanced-level course that grants successful candidates Direct Entry (200 Level) admission into any university across Nigeria. The ICE specifically facilitates streamlined admission into Northwest University for candidates who meet the requisite cut-off points.

🎓 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the IJMB programme, applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credits (including English Language or Mathematics) in not more than two sittings. Accepted examinations include:

• WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or MBAIS.

Candidates may choose from the following combinations based on their intended undergraduate career path:

• Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, A’Level Mathematics, and Geography.

• Humanities (Arts): Government, Literature-in-English, Islamic Studies, Hausa, Arabic, and Sociology.

📝 METHOD OF APPLICATION

The application process is strictly online. Please follow these steps carefully:

1. Visit the Portal: Go to nwu.edu.ng and click on the IJMB Link.

2. Registration: Select “Applicant” and enter a valid email address. (A verification code will be sent to your inbox).

3. Verification: Enter the verification code on the portal to continue.

4. Payment: Generate and print your Payment Invoice. Proceed to any commercial bank or pay via the Nabroll Gateway.

5. Finalization: After payment, return to the portal, click “Login”, and use your Application Number and Email to verify your payment and complete your registration.
