On behalf of the Management and Staff of Lagos State University, the Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, cordially invites Graduates of the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 Academic Sessions, Parents, Guardians, Stakeholders, and the General Public to the Combined 29th and 30th Convocation Ceremonies.
This milestone celebration, honoring academic excellence and character, is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 12th August to Sunday, 23rd August 2026.
PROGRAMME OF EVENTS
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO GRADUANDS
1. Payments & Collections Graduands are to visit the [official payment portal] to settle convocation fees. Certificates will be available for collection immediately following the ceremony, contingent upon the return of academic regalia.
2. Academic Gowns

Return Deadline: Friday, 21st August 2026.

Late Return Fine: β¦1,000.00 per day of default.

Loss/Damage Fees: β¦36,000.00 (First Degree) | β¦45,000.00 (Postgraduate).
3. Protocol & Conduct

Arrival: Guests and graduands must be seated by 8:30 a.m. latecomers will not be admitted into the Auditorium.

Dress Code: Graduands must be properly robed in the prescribed colors of their respective Faculties.

Etiquette: Photography and unauthorized movements are strictly prohibited during the ceremony to maintain the solemnity of the occasion.

Salutations: Female graduates should show courtesy; male graduates are to bow (without removing caps) when greeted by the Vice-Chancellor.
4. Graduation Tradition First-degree graduands shall move their tassels from Right to Left only when the Vice-Chancellor officially declares: “I admit you all.” This symbolic act confirms your transition into the body of LASU Alumni.
