This is to inform the general public, especially prospective nursing students, that the management of the College of Nursing Sciences, Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Benin City, Edo State has officially commenced the sales of admission forms into the following programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session:
• National Diploma (ND) in Nursing
• Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing
The institution remains one of the recognized centres for quality nursing and psychiatric healthcare training in Nigeria.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
📍 1. NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) IN NURSING
Applicants must possess the following:
• 2026 JAMB Result
• Candidates must be 16 years and above at the time of admission
• Minimum of 5 credit passes in:
English Language
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Accepted results include:
• WAEC
• NECO
• GCE
Results must not exceed 2 sittings
NABTEB is accepted but cannot be combined with WAEC, NECO or GCE
Applicants are also required to provide:
• 2 Recent Passport Photographs

MENTAL HEALTH/PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
Interested candidates must possess:
• Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate with current practicing license from NMCN
• Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 5 credit passes in:
English Language
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Accepted results include:
• WAEC
• NECO
• GCE
Results must not exceed 2 sittings
NABTEB must not be combined with WAEC, NECO or GCE
BNSC Graduate Nurses must provide their NYSC Certificate
