The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Mubi is pleased to formally announce the schedule for the 42nd Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
This significant milestone marks the official induction of all newly admitted National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students into the Polytechnic community. As a statutory requirement, the Matriculation Ceremony represents the final and most important step in the registration process. It formally confers upon the students the full rights and privileges of bona fide students of the institution.
More than a mere formality, the ceremony is a solemn public declaration in which fresh students take the Matriculation Oath, pledging their unwavering commitment to academic discipline, moral integrity, and the pursuit of technical and vocational excellence that defines the Federal Polytechnic Mubi.

Date: Wednesday, 1st April, 2026 Time: 10:00 AM Prompt Venue: Sport Complex, Federal Polytechnic Mubi
To ensure a dignified, orderly, and celebratory atmosphere, all matriculants are expected to be properly attired in their academic regalia and seated well before the commencement of the Rector’s procession.
IMPORTANT DIRECTIVES FOR MATRICULANTS
The Academic Office has released the following high-priority guidelines to guarantee a smooth and successful ceremony for all fresh students:
- Academic Regalia: All matriculating students must wear the official institutional gowns. These gowns are available for collection at the various School Offices upon presentation of the payment receipt for matriculation charges. Students are advised to collect their gowns on time.
- Mandatory Attendance: Participation in the Matriculation Ceremony and signing of the Matriculation Register is compulsory for all newly admitted students. Failure to attend may result in the forfeiture of admission and other associated privileges.
- Procession Protocol: All matriculants are required to report at the Sport Complex by 9:00 AM prompt for departmental lining-up and briefing. Latecomers may be denied entry into the designated student section.
SECURITY AND GUEST MANAGEMENT
In view of the importance of this 42nd Matriculation Ceremony, the Polytechnic Security Unit will enforce strict access control at the Sport Complex.
- Guest Seating: Parents, guardians, and well-wishers are kindly requested to occupy the designated guest stands and avoid interfering with the student procession area.
- Photography: Professional photographers are permitted only in the designated “Photo Zones” to prevent any disruption to the formal academic proceedings.
