Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) is pleased to announce the upcoming convocation ceremonies, a significant event for all graduating students. Following disruptions caused by industrial actions and the global pandemic, the University Management and Senate have developed a comprehensive plan to ensure that all eligible graduands receive the recognition they deserve. To accommodate the backlog and celebrate every student appropriately, the ceremonies will be conducted in two distinct phases. This approach allows AKSU to formally confer degrees upon all deserving alumni from the 2018/2019 academic session through the 2024/2025 session, ensuring that each graduate is celebrated and honored for their academic achievements.

Making the Ceremony Memorable: Important Guidelines
To ensure a dignified and well-organized event, please keep these points in mind:
* Be on Time: The academic procession starts at 9:00 AM. Please be fully dressed in your gown and seated by 8:30 AM. Late arrivals will not be able to join the procession.
* Dress Code: Wear your academic gown over formal business attire. Avoid casual clothing like jeans or T-shirts.
* Gown Return: Return your rented gown to your Faculty Officers within the specified time (usually 48-72 hours). Late returns will incur a daily fee, and your certificate will be withheld until all dues are settled.
