PUBLIC NOTICE ON 2025 JAMB ADMISSION CLOSURE
The University of Calabar wishes to inform the general public, especially prospective candidates, that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially closed the 2025 Admission Exercise for all Public Universities (Federal & State) on Monday, 17th November, 2025.
Candidates should note that:
You can still change to new universities or new courses,
but NOT to any Public University.
Change of Course and Change of Institution to Public Universities on the JAMB portal is no longer available.
All other JAMB changes remain open.
ELIGIBILITY & ADMISSION STATUS
Candidates who completed their Change of Course/Institution on or before 17th November 2025 are still eligible.
Their applications will continue to be processed by the respective institutions.
Candidates whose status shows “Admission in Progress” are NOT affected.
Their admissions remain valid and will continue to be handled by their chosen institutions.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Admission into Private Universities remains open until 30th November 2025.
• Admissions into Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, Monotechnics & Colleges of Nursing remain open until 31st December 2025.
