UNIUYO ANNOUNCES AMNESTY PROGRAMME FOR NON-GRADUATING STUDENTS
The University of Uyo wishes to inform the general public, especially those admitted from the 1995 academic session onwards who could not complete their studies due to outstanding courses, that the University Senate, at its 133rd meeting held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, approved an Amnesty Programme.
The programme is designed for students who could not graduate for various reasons and still have failed courses not exceeding 24 credit hours.

(a) *ELIGIBILITY*
1. Open to students admitted from 1995 who were unable to graduate.
2. Applicants must be willing to complete their studies and obtain their certificates.
3. Students previously expelled from the University are not eligible.
4. The programme covers only First Degree programmes.
5. Maximum credit load allowed is 24 credit hours (across first and second semesters).
6. Affected students are to pay ₦25,000 per course.
(b) *IMPLEMENTATION*
1. The programme will run during the long vacation before the 2025/2026 academic year.
2. Duration: 8 weeks –
1 week for publicity
4 weeks of intensive teaching
2 weeks for examinations
1 week for marking and result submission
3. Final grades will be combined with previously earned grades.
(c) Mode of Payment
All payments should be made via www.uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals, after which receipts must be presented to the Bursary Department for confirmation.
